Duration

2 Weeks

Role

Team - Animation and Illustration

Overview

SmartStreet is a project that was initiated through a brief provided by Modual, an online workshop. The brief focused on climate emergencies, leading our group to develop the concept of SmartStreet, a platform where individuals can recycle and reuse furniture. The goal of the project was to create a community toolkit aimed at encouraging social interaction, education, and sustainable furniture building, with the overarching objective of promoting environmental consciousness and community engagement.

Context

The website assists young adults who want to build relationships in their immediate neighborhood by co-designing with reused materials and organizing communal events. It’s a zero-waste, community-focused digital platform aimed at encouraging socialization through hands-on creation. This co-designing approach fosters community cohesion by providing a platform that educates users on redesigning, reusing, and recycling household materials.

How does it work?

The community-focused toolkit aims to encourage socialization and education through hands-on activities. It provides users with step-by-step instructions and utilizes household materials for various projects.
